| 68. | هُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ |
| Transliteration: | Huwa allathee yuhyee wayumeetu faitha qada amran fainnama yaqoolu lahu kun fayakoonu |
| Yusuf Ali: | It is He Who gives Life and Death; and when He decides upon an affair, He says to it, "Be", and it is. |
| Shakir: | He it is Who gives life and brings death, so when He decrees an affair, He only says to it: Be, and it is. |
| Pickthall: | He it is Who quickeneth and giveth death. When He ordaineth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is. |
| Mohsin Khan: | It is He Who gives life and causes death. And when He decides upon a thing He says to it only: "Be!" - and it is. |
| Saheeh: | He it is who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is. |
| Urdu: | وہی ہے جو زندہ کرتا ہے اور مارتا ہے پس جب وہ کسی امر کیا فیصلہ کرلیتا ہے تو صرف اس سے یہی کہتا ہے کو ہو جا تو وہ ہو جاتا ہے |
