24  
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ
Transliteration 24: Hal ataka hadeethu dayfi ibraheema almukrameena
Yusuf Ali 24: Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham?
Shakir 24: Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim?
Pickthal 24: Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)?
Mohsin Khan: 24: Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibril (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)?
Saheeh: 24: Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? -
Urdu 24: کیا آپ کو ابراھیم کے معزز مہمانوں کی بات پہنچی ہے


25  
إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
Transliteration 25: Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala salamun qawmun munkaroona
Yusuf Ali 25: Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people."
Shakir 25: When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people.
Pickthal 25: When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me).
Mohsin Khan: 25: When they came in to him and said: "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered: "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me."
Saheeh: 25: When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown.
Urdu 25: جب کہ وہ اس پر داخل ہوئے پھر انہوں نے سلام کیا ابراھیم نے سوال کا جواب دیا (خیال کیا) کچھ اجنبی سے لوگ ہیں


26  
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ
Transliteration 26: Faragha ila ahlihi fajaa biAAijlin sameenin
Yusuf Ali 26: Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf,
Shakir 26: Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf,
Pickthal 26: Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf;
Mohsin Khan: 26: Then he turned to his household, and brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows].
Saheeh: 26: Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf
Urdu 26: پس چپکے سے اپنے گھر والوں کے پاس گیا اور ایک موٹا بچھڑا (تلا ہوا) لایا


27  
فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
Transliteration 27: Faqarrabahu ilayhim qala ala takuloona
Yusuf Ali 27: And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?"
Shakir 27: So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat?
Pickthal 27: And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat?
Mohsin Khan: 27: And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?"
Saheeh: 27: And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"
Urdu 27: پھر ان کے سامنے لا رکھا فرمایا کیا تم کھاتے نہیں


28  
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ
Transliteration 28: Faawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf wabashsharoohu bighulamin AAaleemin
Yusuf Ali 28: (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge.
Shakir 28: So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge.
Pickthal 28: Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son.
Mohsin Khan: 28: Then he conceived fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of a son having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism).
Saheeh: 28: And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.
Urdu 28: پھر ان سے خوف محسوس کیا انہوں نے کہا تم ڈرو نہیں اور انہوں نے اسے ایک دانشمند لڑکے کی خوشخبری دی


29  
فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ
Transliteration 29: Faaqbalati imraatuhu fee sarratin fasakkat wajhaha waqalat AAajoozun AAaqeemun
Yusuf Ali 29: But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!"
Shakir 29: Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman!
Pickthal 29: Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman!
Mohsin Khan: 29: Then his wife came forward with a loud voice: she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!"
Saheeh: 29: And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"
Urdu 29: پھر ان کی بیوی شور مچاتی ہوئی آگے بڑھی اور اپنا ماتھا پیٹ کر کہنے لگی کیا بڑھیا بانجھ جنے گی


30  
قَالُوا كَذَ‌ٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ
Transliteration 30: Qaloo kathaliki qala rabbuki innahu huwa alhakeemu alAAaleemu
Yusuf Ali 30: They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge."
Shakir 30: They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing.
Pickthal 30: They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower.
Mohsin Khan: 30: They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower."
Saheeh: 30: They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing."
Urdu 30: انہوں نے کہا تیرے رب نے یونہی فرمایا ہے بے شک وہ حکمت والا دانا ہے


31  
 ۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ
Transliteration 31: Qala fama khatbukum ayyuha almursaloona
Yusuf Ali 31: (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?"
Shakir 31: He said: What is your affair then, O apostles!
Pickthal 31: (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)?
Mohsin Khan: 31: [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?"
Saheeh: 31: [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"
Urdu 31: فرمایا اے رسولو! تمہارا کیا مطلب ہے


32  
قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
Transliteration 32: Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeena
Yusuf Ali 32: They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;-
Shakir 32: They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people,
Pickthal 32: They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk,
Mohsin Khan: 32: They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah)
Saheeh: 32: They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals
Urdu 32: انہوں نے کہا ہم ایک مجرم قوم کی طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں


33  
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ
Transliteration 33: Linursila AAalayhim hijaratan min teenin
Yusuf Ali 33: "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone),
Shakir 33: That we may send down upon them stone of clay,
Pickthal 33: That we may send upon them stones of clay,
Mohsin Khan: 33: To send down upon them stones of baked clay.
Saheeh: 33: To send down upon them stones of clay,
Urdu 33: تاکہ ہم ان پر مٹی کے پتھر برسائیں


34  
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
Transliteration 34: Musawwamatan AAinda rabbika lilmusrifeena
Yusuf Ali 34: "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds."
Shakir 34: Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant.
Pickthal 34: Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton.
Mohsin Khan: 34: Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners - those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins).
Saheeh: 34: Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors."
Urdu 34: وہ آپ کے رب کی طرف حدسے بڑھنے والوں کے لیے مقرر ہو چکے ہیں
