| 6. | ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَاسْتَوَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Thoo mirratin faistawa |
| Yusuf Ali: | Endued with Wisdom: for he appeared (in stately form); |
| Shakir: | The Lord of Strength; so he attained completion, |
| Pickthall: | One vigorous; and he grew clear to view |
| Mohsin Khan: | One free from any defect in body and mind then he (Jibril - Gabriel in his real shape as created by Allah) rose and became stable. |
| Saheeh: | One of soundness. And he rose to [his] true form |
| Urdu: | جو بڑا زور آور ہے پس وہ قائم ہوا (اصلی صورت میں) |
|
| 7. | وَهُوَ بِالْأُفُقِ الْأَعْلَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Wahuwa bialofuqi alaAAla |
| Yusuf Ali: | While he was in the highest part of the horizon: |
| Shakir: | And he is in the highest part of the horizon. |
| Pickthall: | When he was on the uppermost horizon. |
| Mohsin Khan: | While he [Jibril (Gabriel)] was in the highest part of the horizon, (Tafsir Ibn Kathir) |
| Saheeh: | While he was in the higher [part of the] horizon. |
| Urdu: | اور وہ (آسمان کے) اونچے کنارے پر تھا |
|
| 8. | ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Thumma dana fatadalla |
| Yusuf Ali: | Then he approached and came closer, |
| Shakir: | Then he drew near, then he bowed |
| Pickthall: | Then he drew nigh and came down |
| Mohsin Khan: | Then he [Jibril (Gabriel)] approached and came closer, |
| Saheeh: | Then he approached and descended |
| Urdu: | پھر نزدیک ہوا پھر اور بھی قریب ہوا |
|
| 9. | فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Fakana qaba qawsayni aw adna |
| Yusuf Ali: | And was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer; |
| Shakir: | So he was the measure of two bows or closer still. |
| Pickthall: | Till he was (distant) two bows' length or even nearer, |
| Mohsin Khan: | And was at a distance of two bows' length or (even) nearer. |
| Saheeh: | And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer. |
| Urdu: | پھر فاصلہ دو کمان کے برابر تھا یا اس سے بھی کم |

| 10. | فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Faawha ila AAabdihi ma awha |
| Yusuf Ali: | So did (Allah) convey the inspiration to His Servant- (conveyed) what He (meant) to convey. |
| Shakir: | And He revealed to His servant what He revealed. |
| Pickthall: | And He revealed unto His slave that which He revealed. |
| Mohsin Khan: | So (Allah) revealed to His slave [Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم through Jibril (Gabriel) عليه السلام] whatever He revealed. |
| Saheeh: | And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed. |
| Urdu: | پھر اس نے الله کےبندے کے دل میں القا کیا جو کچھ القا کیا دل نے |

| 11. | مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Ma kathaba alfuadu ma raa |
| Yusuf Ali: | The (Prophet's) (mind and) heart in no way falsified that which he saw. |
| Shakir: | The heart was not untrue in (making him see) what he saw. |
| Pickthall: | The heart lied not (in seeing) what it saw. |
| Mohsin Khan: | The (Prophet's) heart lied not in what he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) saw. |
| Saheeh: | The heart did not lie [about] what it saw. |
| Urdu: | جھوٹ نہیں کہا تھا جو دیکھا تھا |
|
| 12. | أَفَتُمَارُونَهُ عَلَىٰ مَا يَرَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Afatumaroonahu AAala ma yara |
| Yusuf Ali: | Will ye then dispute with him concerning what he saw? |
| Shakir: | What! do you then dispute with him as to what he saw? |
| Pickthall: | Will ye then dispute with him concerning what he seeth? |
| Mohsin Khan: | Will you then dispute with him (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) about what he saw [during the Mi'raj: (Ascent of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم to the seven heavens)] |
| Saheeh: | So will you dispute with him over what he saw? |
| Urdu: | پھر جو کچھ اس نے دیکھا تم اس میں جھگڑتے ہو |

| 13. | وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Walaqad raahu nazlatan okhra |
| Yusuf Ali: | For indeed he saw him at a second descent, |
| Shakir: | And certainly he saw him in another descent, |
| Pickthall: | And verily he saw him yet another time |
| Mohsin Khan: | And indeed he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) saw him [Jibril (Gabriel)] at a second descent (i.e. another time). |
| Saheeh: | And he certainly saw him in another descent |
| Urdu: | اور اس نے اس کو ایک بار اور بھی دیکھا ہے |

| 14. | عِندَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنتَهَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | AAinda sidrati almuntaha |
| Yusuf Ali: | Near the Lote-tree beyond which none may pass: |
| Shakir: | At the farthest lote-tree; |
| Pickthall: | By the lote-tree of the utmost boundary, |
| Mohsin Khan: | Near Sidrat-ul-Muntaha (a lote-tree of the utmost boundary over the seventh heaven beyond which none can pass). |
| Saheeh: | At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary - |
| Urdu: | سدرة المنتہیٰ کے پاس |
|
| 15. | عِندَهَا جَنَّةُ الْمَأْوَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | AAindaha jannatu almawa |
| Yusuf Ali: | Near it is the Garden of Abode. |
| Shakir: | Near which is the garden, the place to be resorted to. |
| Pickthall: | Nigh unto which is the Garden of Abode. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Near it is the Paradise of Abode. |
| Saheeh: | Near it is the Garden of Refuge - |
| Urdu: | جس کے پاس جنت الماویٰ ہے |
|
| 16. | إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Ith yaghsha alssidrata ma yaghsha |
| Yusuf Ali: | Behold, the Lote-tree was shrouded (in mystery unspeakable!) |
| Shakir: | When that which covers covered the lote-tree; |
| Pickthall: | When that which shroudeth did enshroud the lote-tree, |
| Mohsin Khan: | When that covered the lote-tree which did cover it! |
| Saheeh: | When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered [it]. |
| Urdu: | جب کہ اس سدرة پر چھا رہا تھا جو چھا رہا تھا (یعنی نور) |
|
| 17. | مَا زَاغَ الْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Ma zagha albasaru wama tagha |
| Yusuf Ali: | (His) sight never swerved, nor did it go wrong! |
| Shakir: | The eye did not turn aside, nor did it exceed the limit. |
| Pickthall: | The eye turned not aside nor yet was overbold. |
| Mohsin Khan: | The sight (of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) turned not aside (right or left), nor it transgressed beyond the limit (ordained for it). |
| Saheeh: | The sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it transgress [its limit]. |
| Urdu: | نہ تو نظر بہکی نہ حد سے بڑھی |

| 18. | لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَىٰ |
| Transliteration: | Laqad raa min ayati rabbihi alkubra |
| Yusuf Ali: | For truly did he see, of the Signs of his Lord, the Greatest! |
| Shakir: | Certainly he saw of the greatest signs of his Lord. |
| Pickthall: | Verily he saw one of the greater revelations of his Lord. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Indeed he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) did see of the Greatest Signs, of his Lord (Allah). |
| Saheeh: | He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord. |
| Urdu: | بے شک اس نے اپنے رب کی بڑی بڑی نشانیاں دیکھیں |
