| 1. | قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ |
| Transliteration: | Qul aAAoothu birabbi alnnasi |
| Yusuf Ali: | Say: I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of Mankind, |
| Shakir: | Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men, |
| Pickthall: | Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, |
| Mohsin Khan: | Say: "I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind, |

| 2. | مَلِكِ النَّاسِ |
| Transliteration: | Maliki alnnasi |
| Yusuf Ali: | The King (or Ruler) of Mankind, |
| Shakir: | The King of men, |
| Pickthall: | The King of mankind, |
| Mohsin Khan: | "The King of mankind - |
| Saheeh: | The Sovereign of mankind. |
| Urdu: | لوگوں کے بادشاہ کی |

| 3. | إِلَـٰهِ النَّاسِ |
| Transliteration: | Ilahi alnnasi |
| Yusuf Ali: | The god (or judge) of Mankind,- |
| Shakir: | The god of men, |
| Pickthall: | The god of mankind, |
| Mohsin Khan: | "The Ilah (God) of mankind, |
| Saheeh: | The God of mankind, |
| Urdu: | لوگوں کے معبود کی |

| 4. | مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ |
| Transliteration: | Min sharri alwaswasi alkhannasi |
| Yusuf Ali: | From the mischief of the Whisperer (of Evil), who withdraws (after his whisper),- |
| Shakir: | From the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Shaitan), |
| Pickthall: | From the evil of the sneaking whisperer, |
| Mohsin Khan: | "From the evil of the whisperer (devil who whispers evil in the hearts of men) who withdraws (from his whispering in one's heart after one remembers Allah). |
| Saheeh: | From the evil of the retreating whisperer - |
| Urdu: | اس شیطان کے شر سے جووسوسہ ڈال کر چھپ جاتا ہے |

| 5. | الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ |
| Transliteration: | Allathee yuwaswisu fee sudoori alnnasi |
| Yusuf Ali: | (The same) who whispers into the hearts of Mankind,- |
| Shakir: | Who whispers into the hearts of men, |
| Pickthall: | Who whispereth in the hearts of mankind, |
| Mohsin Khan: | "Who whispers in the breasts of mankind. |
| Saheeh: | Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind - |
| Urdu: | جو لوگوں کے سینوں میں وسوسہ ڈالتا ہے |

| 6. | مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ |
| Transliteration: | Mina aljinnati wa alnnasm |
| Yusuf Ali: | Among Jinns and among men. |
| Shakir: | From among the jinn and the men. |
| Pickthall: | Of the jinn and of mankind. |
| Mohsin Khan: | "Of jinn and men." |
| Saheeh: | From among the jinn and mankind." |
