84. | وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنظُرُونَ |
Transliteration: | Waantum heenaithin tanthuroona |
Yusuf Ali: | And ye the while (sit) looking on,- |
Shakir: | And you at that time look on-- |
Pickthall: | And ye are at that moment looking |
Mohsin Khan: | And you at the moment are looking on, |
Saheeh: | And you are at that time looking on - |
Urdu: | اورتم اس وقت دیکھا کرتے ہو |

85. | وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ |
Transliteration: | Wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walakin la tubsiroona |
Yusuf Ali: | But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- |
Shakir: | And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- |
Pickthall: | - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - |
Mohsin Khan: | But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, (Tafsir At-Tabari) |
Saheeh: | And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - |
Urdu: | اور تم سے زیادہ ہم اس کے قرب ہوتے ہیں لیکن تم نہیں دیکھتے |

86. | فَلَوْلَا إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ |
Transliteration: | Falawla in kuntum ghayra madeeneena |
Yusuf Ali: | Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- |
Shakir: | Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- |
Pickthall: | Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), |
Mohsin Khan: | Then why do you not - if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment) - |
Saheeh: | Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, |
Urdu: | پس اگر تمہارا حساب کتاب ہونے والا نہیں ہے |

87. | تَرْجِعُونَهَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
Transliteration: | TarjiAAoonaha in kuntum sadiqeena |
Yusuf Ali: | Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? |
Shakir: | That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? |
Pickthall: | Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? |
Mohsin Khan: | Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? |
Saheeh: | Bring it back, if you should be truthful? |
Urdu: | تو تم اس روح کو کیوں نہیں لوٹا دیتے اگر تم سچے ہو |
