13. | فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ |
Transliteration: | Fakku raqabatin |
Yusuf Ali: | (It is:) freeing the bondman; |
Shakir: | (It is) the setting free of a slave, |
Pickthall: | (It is) to free a slave, |
Mohsin Khan: | (It is) freeing a neck (slave) |
Saheeh: | It is the freeing of a slave |
Urdu: | گردن کا چھوڑانا |

14. | أَوْ إِطْعَامٌ فِي يَوْمٍ ذِي مَسْغَبَةٍ |
Transliteration: | Aw itAAamun fee yawmin thee masghabatin |
Yusuf Ali: | Or the giving of food in a day of privation |
Shakir: | Or the giving of food in a day of hunger |
Pickthall: | And to feed in the day of hunger. |
Mohsin Khan: | Or giving food in a day of hunger (famine), |
Saheeh: | Or feeding on a day of severe hunger |
Urdu: | یا بھوک کے دن میں کھلانا |

15. | يَتِيمًا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ |
Transliteration: | Yateeman tha maqrabatin |
Yusuf Ali: | To the orphan with claims of relationship, |
Shakir: | To an orphan, having relationship, |
Pickthall: | An orphan near of kin, |
Mohsin Khan: | To an orphan near of kin. |
Saheeh: | An orphan of near relationship |
Urdu: | کسی رشتہ دار یتیم کو |

16. | أَوْ مِسْكِينًا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍ |
Transliteration: | Aw miskeenan tha matrabatin |
Yusuf Ali: | Or to the indigent (down) in the dust. |
Shakir: | Or to the poor man lying in the dust. |
Pickthall: | Or some poor wretch in misery, |
Mohsin Khan: | Or to a Miskin (poor) cleaving to dust (out of misery). |
Saheeh: | Or a needy person in misery |
Urdu: | یا کسی خاک نشین مسکین کو |

17. | ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْمَرْحَمَةِ |
Transliteration: | Thumma kana mina allatheena amanoo watawasaw bialssabri watawasaw bialmarhamati |
Yusuf Ali: | Then will he be of those who believe, and enjoin patience, (constancy, and self-restraint), and enjoin deeds of kindness and compassion. |
Shakir: | Then he is of those who believe and charge one another to show patience, and charge one another to show compassion. |
Pickthall: | And to be of those who believe and exhort one another to perseverance and exhort one another to pity. |
Mohsin Khan: | Then he became one of those who believed (in the Islamic Monotheism) and recommended one another to perseverance and patience, and (also) recommended one another to pity and compassion. |
Saheeh: | And then being among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion. |
Urdu: | پھر وہ ان میں سے ہو جو ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے ایک دوسرے کو صبر کی وصیت کی اور رحم کرنے کی وصیت کی |
