Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
14.وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوا إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى لَّقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُورِثُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍ
Transliteration:Wama tafarraqoo illa min baAAdi ma jaahumu alAAilmu baghyan baynahum walawla kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika ila ajalin musamman laqudiya baynahum wainna allatheena oorithoo alkitaba min baAAdihim lafee shakkin minhu mureebin
Yusuf Ali:And they became divided only after Knowledge reached them,- through selfish envy as between themselves. Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, (tending) to a Term appointed, the matter would have been settled between them: But truly those who have inherited the Book after them are in suspicious (disquieting) doubt concerning it.
Urdu:اور اہلِ کتاب جوجدا جدا فرقے ہوئے تو علم آنے کے بعد اپنی باہمی ضد سے ہوئے اور اگر تیرے رب کی طرف سے ایک وقت مقرر (قیامت) تک کا وعدہ نہ ہوتا تو ان میں فیصلہ ہوگیا ہوتا اور جو ان کے بعد کتاب کے وارث بنائے گئے ہیں (زمانہِ نبوی کے اہل کتاب) وہ اس (دین) کی نسبت حیرت انگیز شک میں ہیں
