(1221) Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Tell me! if (all) your water were to sink away, who then can supply you with flowing (spring) water?"

(1222) Without saying: Insha' Allah (if Allah wills).

(1223) Saying: "Go to your tilth in the morning, if you would pluck the fruits."

(1224) The best among them said: "Did I not tell you: why say you not: Insha' Allah (if Allah wills)."

(1225) Such is the punishment (in this life), but truly, the punishment of the Hereafter is greater if they but knew.

(1226) Or have they "partners"? Then let them bring their "partners" if they are truthful!

(1227) Their eyes will be cast down and ignominy will cover them; they used to be called to prostrate themselves (offer prayers), while they were healthy and good (in the life of the world, but they did not).

(1228) Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms!

(1229) So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing.

(1230) And if he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah جل جلاله),
