(2842) For the beggar who asks, and for the unlucky who has lost his property and wealth, (and his means of living has been straitened).

(2843) And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts from illegal sexual acts).

(2844) But whosoever seeks beyond that, then it is those who are trespassers.

(2845) So what is the matter with those who disbelieve that they hasten to listen from you [O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), in order to belie you and to mock at you, and at Allah's Book (this Qur'an)].

(2846) (Sitting) in groups on the right and on the left (of you, O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)?

(2847) With their eyes lowered in fear and humility, ignominy covering them (all over)! That is the Day which they were promised!

(2848) "He (Allah) will forgive you of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Verily, the term of Allah when it comes, cannot be delayed, if you but knew."

(2849) And verily, every time I called unto them that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, and persisted (in their refusal), and magnified themselves in pride.

(2850) What is the matter with you, that [you fear not Allah (His punishment), and] you hope not for reward (from Allah or you believe not in His Oneness).
