(381) And We have enjoined on man doing of good to his parents; with trouble did his mother bear him and with trouble did she bring him forth; and the bearing of him and the weaning of him was thirty months; until when he attains his maturity and reaches forty years, he says: my Lord! grant me that I may give thanks for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do good which pleases Thee and do good to me in respect of my offspring; surely I turn to Thee, and surely I am of those who submit.

(382) And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so my threat came to pass.

(383) He will say: Do not quarrel in my presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand:

(384) my word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants.

(385) We know best what they say, and you are not one to compel them; therefore remind him by means of the Quran who fears my threat.

(386) How (great) was then my punishment and my warning!

(387) Ad treated (the truth) as a lie, so how (great) was my punishment and my warning!

(388) How (great) was then my punishment and my warning!

(389) How (great) was then my punishment and my warning!

(390) And certainly they endeavored to turn him from his guests, but We blinded their eyes; so taste my chastisement and my warning.
