(32) And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and obey the Apostle, so that mercy may be shown to you.

(33) Who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and of the hereafter, they are sure.

(34) Those who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and they are certain of the hereafter.

(35) And stay in your houses and do not display your finery like the displaying of the ignorance of yore; and keep up prayer, and pay the poor-rate, and obey Allah and His Apostle. Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! and to purify you a (thorough) purifying.

(36) (To) those who do not give poor-rate and they are unbelievers in the hereafter.

(37) Do you fear that you will not (be able to) give in charity before your consultation? So when you do not do it and Allah has turned to you (mercifully), then keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and obey Allah and His Apostle; and Allah is Aware of what you do.

(38) (It is) for the poor who fled their homes and their possessions, seeking grace of Allah and (His) pleasure, and assisting Allah and His Apostle: these it is that are the truthful.

(39) And were not willing to set aside a portion (for the poor).

(40) Saying: No poor man shall enter it today upon you.
