(202) "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!"

(203) Behold, ye received it on your tongues, and said out of your mouths things of which ye had no knowledge; and ye thought it to be a light matter, while it was most serious in the sight of Allah.

(204) Say: "The (Qur'an) was sent down by Him who knows the mystery (that is) in the heavens and the earth: verily He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

(205) The day He will gather them together as well as those whom they worship besides Allah, He will ask: "was it ye who let these My servants astray, or did they stray from the Path themselves?"

(206) They will say: "Glory to Thee! not meet was it for us that we should take for protectors others besides Thee: But Thou didst bestow, on them and their fathers, good things (in life), until they forgot the Message: for they were a people (worthless and) lost."

(207) And the (Unbelievers) must indeed have passed by the town on which was rained a shower of evil: did they not then see it (with their own eyes)? But they fear not the Resurrection.

(208) Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error.

(209) So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)!

(210) And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders!
