(245) So, when she came, it was said (unto her): Is thy throne like this? She said: (It is) as though it were the very one. And (Solomon said): We were given the knowledge before her and we had surrendered (to Allah).

(246) And there were in the city nine persons who made mischief in the land and reformed not.

(247) Is not He (best) Who answereth the wronged one when he crieth unto Him and removeth the evil, and hath made you viceroys of the earth? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Little do they reflect!

(248) We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old.

(249) And We desired to show favour unto those who were oppressed in the earth, and to make them examples and to make them the inheritors,

(250) And the family of Pharaoh took him up, that he might become for them an enemy and a sorrow, Lo! Pharaoh and Haman and their hosts were ever sinning.
