(561) We know best what they say, when the fairest of them in course would say: You tarried but a day.

(562) He knows what is before them and what is behind them, while they do not comprehend it in knowledge.

(563) Bear then patiently what they say, and glorify your Lord by the praising of Him before the rising of the sun and before its setting, and during hours of the night do also glorify (Him) and during parts of the day, that you may be well pleased

(564) And they say: Why does he not bring to us a sign from his Lord? Has not there come to them a clear evidence of what is in the previous books?

(565) Their hearts trifling; and those who are unjust counsel together in secret: He is nothing but a mortal like yourselves; what! will you then yield to enchantment while you see?

(566) He said: My Lord knows what is spoken in the heaven and the earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

(567) Certainly We have revealed to you a Book in which is your good remembrance; what! do you not then understand?

(568) Do not fly (now) and come back to what you were made to lead easy lives in and to your dwellings, haply you will be questioned.

(569) And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them for sport.

(570) Nay! We cast the truth against the falsehood, so that it breaks its head, and lo! it vanishes; and woe to you for what you describe;
