(43) Then We inspired in him, saying: Make the ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration. And plead not with Me on behalf of those who have done wrong. Lo! they will be drowned.

(44) Then We sent our messengers one after another. Whenever its messenger came unto a nation they denied him; so We caused them to follow one another (to disaster) and We made them bywords. A far removal for folk who believe not!

(45) Have they not pondered the word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old?

(46) That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised.

(47) And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations.

(48) And the word will be fulfilled concerning them because they have done wrong, and they will not speak.

(49) And now verily We have caused the word to reach them, that haply they may give heed.

(50) Those concerning whom the word will have come true will say: Our Lord! These are they whom we led astray. We led them astray even as we ourselves were astray. We declare our innocence before Thee: us they never worshipped.
