(1) And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally.

(2) And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."

(3) But they who believe and do righteous deeds - those are the companions of paradise; they will abide therein eternally.

(4) And they say, "None will enter paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian." That is [merely] their wishful thinking, Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."

(5) Or do you think that you will enter paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allah?" Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near.

(6) And do not marry polytheistic women until they believe. And a believing slave woman is better than a polytheist, even though she might please you. And do not marry polytheistic men [to your women] until they believe. And a believing slave is better than a polytheist, even though he might please you. Those invite [you] to the Fire, but Allah invites to paradise and to forgiveness, by His permission. And He makes clear His verses to the people that perhaps they may remember.

(7) Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers.

(8) Or do you think that you will enter paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast?

(9) Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.

(10) These are the limits [set by] Allah, and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will be admitted by Him to gardens [in paradise] under which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein; and that is the great attainment.
