(1) And [recall] when you said, "O Moses, we can never endure one [kind of] food. So call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from the earth its green herbs and its cucumbers and its garlic and its lentils and its onions." [Moses] said, "Would you exchange what is better for what is less? Go into [any] settlement and indeed, you will have what you have asked." And they were covered with humiliation and poverty and returned with anger from Allah [upon them]. That was because they [repeatedly] disbelieved in the signs of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That was because they disobeyed and were [habitually] transgressing.

(2) O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.

(3) And We caused the people who had been oppressed to inherit the eastern regions of the land and the western ones, which We had blessed. And the good word of your Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel because of what they had patiently endured. And We destroyed [all] that Pharaoh and his people were producing and what they had been building.

(4) [They will be] abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will. Indeed, your Lord is an effecter of what He intends.

(5) And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will - a bestowal uninterrupted.

(6) "Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. And excellent is the final home."

(7) [They are] those who endured patiently and upon their Lord relied.

(8) Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace.

(9) Those will be given their reward twice for what they patiently endured and [because] they avert evil through good, and from what We have provided them they spend.

(10) And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments].
