The word(s) "light" appears 88 time(s) in 76 verse(s) in Quran in Saheeh International translation.

(1) Their example is that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness [so] they could not see.

(2) Or [it is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allah is encompassing of the disbelievers.

(3) The lightning almost snatches away their sight. Every time it lights [the way] for them, they walk therein; but when darkness comes over them, they stand [still]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

(4) Those are the ones who have bought the life of this world [in exchange] for the Hereafter, so the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be aided.

(5) Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.

(6) Allah is the ally of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light. And those who disbelieve - their allies are Taghut. They take them out of the light into darknesses. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.

(7) Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.

(8) Then if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - so were messengers denied before you, who brought clear proofs and written ordinances and the enlightening Scripture.

(9) And Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]; and mankind was created weak.

(10) O mankind, there has come to you a conclusive proof from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.
