(54) And they serve besides Allah that which does not control for them any sustenance at all from the heavens and the earth, nor have they any power.

(55) And when those who associate (others with Allah) shall see their associate-gods, they shall say: Our Lord, these are our associate-gods on whom we called besides Thee. But they will give them back the reply: Most surely you are liars.

(56) And We gave Musa the Book and made it a guidance to the children of Israel, saying: Do not take a protector besides Me;

(57) Say: Call on those whom you assert besides Him, so they shall not control the removal of distress from you nor (its) transference.

(58) And whomsoever Allah guides, he is the follower of the right way, and whomsoever He causes to err, you shall not find for him guardians besides Him; and We will gather them together on the day of resurrection on their faces, blind and dumb and deaf; their abode is hell; whenever it becomes allayed We will add to their burning.

(59) And We strengthened their hearts with patience, when they stood up and said: Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth; we will by no means call upon any god besides Him, for then indeed we should have said an extravagant thing.

(60) These our people have taken gods besides Him; why do they not produce any clear authority in their support? Who is then more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah?
