(41) Who take their religion for an idle sport and a play and this life's world deceives them; so today We forsake them, as they neglected the meeting of this day of theirs and as they denied Our communications.

(42) Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods of time, and He is firm in power; He throws the veil of night over the day, which it pursues incessantly; and (He created) the sun and the moon and the stars, made subservient by His command; surely His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

(43) He said: O my people! there is no error in me, but I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds.

(44) He said: O my people! there is no folly in me, but I am an apostle of the Lord of the worlds.

(45) And (We sent) Lut when he said to his people: What! do you commit an indecency which any one in the world has not done before you?

(46) And Musa said: O Firon! surely I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds:

(47) They said: We believe in the Lord of the worlds,

(48) (As for) those who took the calf (for a god), surely wrath from their Lord and disgrace in this world's life shall overtake them, and thus do We recompense the devisers of lies.

(49) And ordain for us good in this world's life and in the hereafter, for surely we turn to Thee. He said: (As for) My chastisement, I will afflict with it whom I please, and My mercy encompasses all things; so I will ordain it (specially) for those who guard (against evil) and pay the poor-rate, and those who believe in Our communications.

(50) It is not fit for a prophet that he should take captives unless he has fought and triumphed in the land; you desire the frail goods of this world, while Allah desires (for you) the hereafter; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.
