(251) When their apostles came to them from before them and from behind them, saying, Serve nothing but Allah, they said: If our Lord had pleased He would certainly have sent down angels, so we are surely unbelievers in that with which you are sent.

(252) Naught is said to you but what was said indeed to the apostles before you; surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness and the Lord of painful retribution.

(253) Nay! I gave them and their fathers to enjoy until there came to them the truth and an apostle making manifest (the truth).

(254) And ask those of Our apostles whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent Allah?

(258) How shall they be reminded, and there came to them an apostle making clear (the truth),

(259) And certainly We tried before them the people of Firon, and there came to them a noble apostle,

(260) Saying: Deliver to me the servants of Allah, surely I am a faithful apostle to you,
