(42) And certainly We gave to ibrahim his rectitude before, and We knew him fully well.

(43) They said: We heard a youth called ibrahim speak of them.

(44) They said: Have you done this to our gods, O ibrahim?

(45) We said: O fire! be a comfort and peace to ibrahim;

(46) And when We assigned to ibrahim the place of the House, saying: Do not associate with Me aught, and purify My House for those who make the circuit and stand to pray and bow and prostrate themselves.

(47) And the people of ibrahim and the people of Lut,

(48) And strive hard in (the way of) Allah, (such) a striving as is due to Him; He has chosen you and has not laid upon you an hardship in religion; the faith of your father ibrahim; He named you Muslims before and in this, that the Apostle may be a bearer of witness to you, and you may be bearers of witness to the people; therefore keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and hold fast by Allah; He is your Guardian; how excellent the Guardian and how excellent the Helper!

(49) And recite to them the story of ibrahim.

(50) And (We sent) ibrahim, when he said to his people: Serve Allah and be careful of (your duty to) Him; this is best for you, if you did but know:
