But if ye enter houses, salute each other - a greeting of blessing and purity as from Allah. Thus does Allah make clear the signs to you: that ye may understand.

(22) Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven, because of their patient constancy: therein shall they be met with salutations and peace,

(23) "And when ye exert your strong hand, do ye do it like men of absolute power?

(24) The people of lut rejected the messengers.

(25) Behold, their brother lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)?

(26) They said: "If thou desist not, O lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!"

(27) (We also sent) lut (as a messenger): behold, He said to his people, "Do ye do what is shameful though ye see (its iniquity)?

(28) But his people gave no other answer but this: they said, "Drive out the followers of lut from your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!"

(29) But lut had faith in Him: He said: "I will leave home for the sake of my Lord: for He is Exalted in Might, and Wise."

(30) And (remember) lut: behold, he said to his people: "Ye do commit lewdness, such as no people in Creation (ever) committed before you.
