(51) And Dawood and Sulaiman when they gave judgment concerning the field when the people's sheep pastured therein by night, and We were bearers of witness to their judgment.

(52) And the true promise shall draw nigh, then lo! the eyes of those who disbelieved shall be fixedly open: O woe to us! surely we were in a state of heedlessness as to this; nay, we were unjust.

(53) That is because Allah causes the night to enter into the day and causes the day to enter into the night, and because Allah is Hearing, Seeing.

(54) In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night.

(55) And He it is Who gives life and causes death, and (in) His (control) is the alternation of the night and the day; do you not then understand?

(56) Allah turns over the night and the day; most surely there is a lesson in this for those who have sight.

(57) O you who believe! let those whom your right hands possess and those of you who have not attained to puberty ask permission of you three times; before the morning prayer, and when you put off your clothes at midday in summer, and after the prayer of the nightfall; these are three times of privacy for you; neither is it a sin for you nor for them besides these, some of you must go round about (waiting) upon others; thus does Allah make clear to you the communications, and Allah is Knowing, Wise.

(58) He had well-nigh led us astray from our gods had we not adhered to them patiently! And they will know, when they see the punishment, who is straying farther off from the path.

(59) And He it is Who made the night a covering for you, and the sleep a rest, and He made the day to rise up again.

(60) And He it is Who made the night and the day to follow each other for him who desires to be mindful or desires to be thankful.
