(81) Allah is He Who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day to see; most surely Allah is Gracious to men, but most men do not give thanks.

(82) And among His signs are the night and the day and the sun and the moon; do not prostrate to the sun nor to the moon; and prostrate to Allah Who created them, if Him it is that you serve.

(83) But if they are proud, yet those with your Lord glorify Him during the night and the day, and they are not tired.

(84) Allah it is Who revealed the Book with truth, and the balance, and what shall make you know that haply the hour be nigh?

(85) Surely We revealed it on a blessed night surely We are ever warning--

(86) So go forth with My servants by night; surely you will be pursued:

(87) And (in) the variation of the night and the day, and (in) what Allah sends down of sustenance from the cloud, then gives life thereby to the earth after its death, and (in) the changing of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand.

(88) Why did not then those help them whom they took for gods besides Allah to draw (them) nigh (to Him)? Nay! they were lost to them; and this was their lie and what they forged.

(89) And glorify Him in the night and after the prayers.

(90) They used to sleep but little in the night.
