(1) But when they forgot the warning they had received, We opened to them the gates of all (good) things, until, in the midst of their enjoyment of Our gifts, on a sudden, We called them to account, when lo! they were plunged in despair!

(2) No just estimate of Allah do they make when they say: "Nothing doth Allah send down to man (by way of revelation)" Say: "Who then sent down the Book which Moses brought?- a light and guidance to man: But ye make it into (separate) sheets for show, while ye conceal much (of its contents): therein were ye taught that which ye knew not- neither ye nor your fathers." Say: "Allah (sent it down)": Then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling.

(3) But their brethren (the evil ones) plunge them deeper into error, and never relax (their efforts).

(4) Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein!

(5) And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness;

(6) So leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they have been promised!-
