(205) And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped?

(206) We showed them Sign after Sign, each greater than its fellow, and We seized them with Punishment, in order that they might turn (to Us).

(207) "Am I not better than this (Moses), who is a contemptible wretch and can scarcely express himself clearly?

(208) He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel.

(209) What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin.

(210) And who is more astray than one who invokes besides Allah, such as will not answer him to the Day of Judgment, and who (in fact) are unconscious of their call (to them)?
