(23) Recite what is sent of the Book by inspiration to thee, and establish regular Prayer: for Prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest (thing in life) without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that ye do.

(24) (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side,

(25) And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty).

(26) And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age.

(27) And no one will be granted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint,- none but persons of the greatest good fortune.

(28) But to those who receive Guidance, He increases the (light of) Guidance, and bestows on them their Piety and Restraint (from evil).

(29) Allah has promised you many gains that ye shall acquire, and He has given you these beforehand; and He has restrained the hands of men from you; that it may be a Sign for the Believers, and that He may guide you to a Straight Path;

(30) And it is He Who has restrained their hands from you and your hands from them in the midst of Makka, after that He gave you the victory over them. And Allah sees well all that ye do.
