(Can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, they are a people who swerve from justice.

(46) He said: "I intend to wed one of these my daughters to thee, on condition that thou serve me for eight years; but if thou complete ten years, it will be (grace) from thee. But I intend not to place thee under a difficulty: thou wilt find me, indeed, if Allah wills, one of the righteous."

(47) We (once) sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years less fifty: but the Deluge overwhelmed them while they (persisted in) sin.

(48) Within a few years. With Allah is the Decision, in the past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice-

(49) yea, to Him be praise, in the heavens and on earth; and in the late afternoon and when the day begins to decline.

(50) And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal.
