(181) So when he reached it (the fire), he was called from the right side of the valley, in the blessed place, from the tree: "O Musa (Moses)! Verily I am Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists)!

(182) And indeed We gave Musa (Moses) - after We had destroyed the generations of old -the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)] as an enlightenment for mankind, and a guidance and a mercy, that they might remember (or receive admonition).

(183) And whosoever strives, he strives only for himself. Verily, Allah stands not in need of any of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn, and all that exists).

(184) Of mankind are some who say: "We believe in Allah." But if they are made to suffer for the sake of Allah, they consider the trial of mankind as Allah's punishment; and if victory comes from your Lord, (the hypocrites) will say: "Verily we were with you (helping you)." Is not Allah Best Aware of what is in the breasts of the 'Alamin (mankind and jinn).

(185) Then We saved him and those with him in the ship, and made it (the ship) an Ayah (a lesson, a warning) for the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists).

(186) And (remember) Lut (Lot), when he said to his people: "You commit Al-Fahishah (sodomy - the worst sin) which none has preceded you in (committing) it in the 'Alamin (mankind and jinn)."

(187) And these similitudes We put forward for mankind; but none will understand them except those who have knowledge (of Allah and His Signs).

(188) Do they not think deeply (in their ownselves) about themselves (how Allah created them from nothing, and similarly He will resurrect them)? Allah has created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, except with truth and for an appointed term. And indeed many of mankind deny the Meeting with their Lord. (189) So set you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) your face towards the religion (of pure Islamic Monotheism) Hanif (worship none but Allah Alone). Allah's Fitrah (i.e. Allah's Islamic Monotheism) with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalq-illah (i.e. the religion of Allah - Islamic Monotheism): that is the straight religion, but most of men know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari]

(190) And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy, they rejoice therein; but when some evil afflicts them because of (evil deeds and sins) that their (own) hands have sent forth, behold, they are in despair!
