(155) What! is he whose evil deed is made fairseeming to him so much so that he considers it good? Now surely Allah makes err whom He pleases and guides aright whom He pleases, so let not your soul waste away in grief for them; surely Allah is Cognizant of what they do

(156) If He please, He will take you off and bring a new generation.

(157) Neither are the living and the dead alike. Surely Allah makes whom He pleases hear, and you cannot make those hear who are in the graves.

(158) And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued

(159) And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error.

(160) And if We please We would certainly put out their eyes, then they would run about groping for the way, but how should they see?
