(23) What! Do you then feel secure that He will not cause a tract of land to engulf you or send on you a tornado? Then you shall not find a protector for yourselves.

(24) And if We please, We should certainly take away that which We have revealed to you, then you would not find for it any protector against Us.

(25) Here is protection only Allah's, the True One; He is best in (the giving of) reward and best in requiting.

(26) And We taught him the making of coats of mail for you, that they might protect you in your wars; will you then be grateful?

(27) Have you seen him who takes his low desires for his god? Will you then be a protector over him?

(28) He said: My Lord! surely I have done harm to myself, so do Thou protect me. So He protected him; surely He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

(29) And you shall not escape in the earth nor in the heaven, and you have neither a protector nor a helper besides Allah.

(30) And when Our apostles came to Lut he was grieved on account of them, and he felt powerless (to protect) them; and they said: Fear not, nor grieve; surely we will deliver you and your followers, except your wife; she shall be of those who remain behind.
