(1) Thus does the word of your Lord prove true against those who transgress that they do not believe.

(2) Surely those against whom the word of your Lord has proved true will not believe,

(3) And when We wish to destroy a town, We send Our commandment to the people of it who lead easy lives, but they transgress therein; thus the word proves true against it, so We destroy it with utter destruction.

(4) He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they do not intercede except for him whom He approves and for fear of Him they tremble.

(5) Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe.

(6) That it may warn him who would have life, and (that) the word may prove true against the unbelievers.

(7) And thus did the word of your Lord prove true against those who disbelieved that they are the inmates of the fire.

(8) And We have appointed for them comrades so they have made fair-seeming to them what is before them and what is behind them, and the word proved true against them-- among the nations of the jinn and the men that have passed away before them-- that they shall surely be losers.

(9) These are they against whom the word has proved true among nations of the jinn and the men that have already passed away before them; surely they are losers.

(10) And (as for) those who believe and do good, and believe in what has been revealed to Muhammad, and it is the very truth from their Lord, He will remove their evil from them and improve their condition.
