(71) The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verses (this qur'an) are recited unto them, they (i.e. the Verses) increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone);

(72) And when Our Verses (of the qur'an) are recited to them, they say: "We have heard (the qur'an); if we wish we can say the like of this. This is nothing but the tales of the ancients."

(73) And (remember) when they said: "O Allah! If this (the qur'an) is indeed the truth (revealed) from You, then rain down stones on us from the sky or bring on us a painful torment."

(74) And if anyone of the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the Word of Allah (the qur'an), and then escort him to where he can be secure, that is because they are men who know not.

(75) The hypocrites fear lest a Surah (chapter of the qur'an) should be revealed about them, showing them what is in their hearts. Say: "(Go ahead and) mock! But certainly Allah will bring to light all that you fear."

(76) And when a Surah (chapter from the qur'an) is revealed, enjoining them to believe in Allah and to strive hard and fight along with His Messenger, the wealthy among them ask your leave to exempt them (from Jihad) and say, "Leave us (behind), we would be with those who sit (at home)."

(77) Verily, Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties for (the price) that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allah's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success.

(78) And whenever there comes down a Surah (chapter from the qur'an), some of them (hypocrites) say: "Which of you has had his Faith increased by it?" As for those who believe, it has increased their Faith, and they rejoice.

(79) And whenever there comes down a Surah (chapter from the qur'an), they look at one another (saying): "Does any one see you?" Then they turn away. Allah has turned their hearts (from the light) because they are a people that understand not.

(80) Alif-Lam-Ra. [These letters are one of the miracles of the qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. These are the Verses of the Book (the qur'an) Al-Hakim
