(43) Say to those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind: You shall soon be invited (to fight) against a people possessing mighty prowess; you will fight against them until they submit; then if you obey, Allah will grant you a good reward; and if you turn back as you turned back before, He will punish you with a painful punishment.

(44) The dwellers of the desert say: We believe. Say: You do not believe but say, We submit; and faith has not yet entered into your hearts; and if you obey Allah and His Apostle, He will not diminish aught of your deeds; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

(45) (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood,

(46) And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass.

(47) Not alike are the inmates of the fire and the dwellers of the garden: the dwellers of the garden are they that are the achievers.

(48) He will forgive you your faults and cause you to enter into gardens, beneath which rivers flow, and goodly dwellings in gardens of perpetuity; that is the mighty achievement;

(49) And Nuh said: My Lord! leave not upon the land any dweller from among the unbelievers:

(50) And sons dwelling in his presence,
