(31) And Allah has made for you out of that which He has created shades, and has made for you places of refuge in the mountains, and has made for you garments to protect you from the heat (and cold), and coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. Thus does He perfect His favour unto you, that you may submit yourselves to His Will (in Islam).
(32) And Allah puts forward the example of a township (Makkah), that dwelt secure and well-content: its provision coming to it in abundance from every place, but it (its people) denied the favours of Allah (with ungratefulness). So Allah made it taste extreme of hunger (famine) and fear, because of that (evil, i.e. denying Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) which they (its people) used to do .
(33) So eat of the lawful and good food which Allah has provided for you. And be grateful for the favour of Allah, if it is He Whom you worship.
(34) (He was) thankful for His (Allah's) favours. He (Allah) chose him (as an intimate friend) and guided him to a Straight Path (Islamic Monotheism - neither Judaism nor Christianity ).
(35) "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before).
(36) So We revealed to him (saying): "Construct the ship under Our Eyes and under Our Revelation (guidance). Then, when Our Command comes, and water gushes forth from the oven, take on board of each kind two (male and female), and your family, except those thereof against whom the Word has already gone forth. And address Me not in favour of those who have done wrong. Verily, they are to be drowned.
(37) "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me: that you have enslaved the Children of Israel."
(38) So he [Sulaiman (Solomon)] smiled, amused at her speech and said: "My Lord! Grant me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your favours which You have bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds that will please You, and admit me by Your Mercy among Your righteous slaves."
(39) And We wished to do a favour to those who were weak (and oppressed) in the land, and to make them rulers and to make them the inheritors,
(40) He said: "My Lord! For that with which You have favoured me, I will never more be a helper of the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners)!"
