(15) O ye who believe! follow not Satan's footsteps: if any will follow the footsteps of Satan, he will (but) command what is shameful and wrong: and were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah doth purify whom He pleases: and Allah is One Who hears and knows (all things).

(16) At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the ants said: "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it."

(17) So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps!

(18) Behold, there were brought before him, at eventide coursers of the highest breeding, and swift of foot;

(19) (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink."

(20) Nay! they say: "We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we do guide ourselves by their footsteps."
