(413) Allah it is who hath created seven heavens, and of the earth the like thereof. The commandment cometh down among them slowly, that ye may know that Allah is Able to do all things, and that Allah surroundeth all things in knowledge.

(414) When the Prophet confided a fact unto one of his wives and when she afterward divulged it and Allah apprised him thereof, he made known (to her) part thereof and passed over part. And when he told it her she said: Who hath told thee? He said: The Knower, the Aware hath told me.

(415) Lo! We have tried them as We tried the owners of the garden when they vowed that they would pluck its fruit next morning,

(416) With eyes downcast, abasement stupefying them. And they had been summoned to prostrate themselves while they were yet unhurt.

(417) Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees.

(418) Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter a Fire. And they found they had no helpers in place of Allah.

(419) Then frowned he and showed displeasure.

(420) Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds;
