(26) And if Allah were to punish men for that which they earned, He would not leave a moving (living) creature on the surface of the earth; but He gives them respite to an appointed term: and when their term comes, then verily, Allah is Ever All-Seer of His slaves.

(27) [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected."

(28) (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite."

(29) And the heavens and the earth wept not for them, nor were they given a respite.

(30) And spend (in charity) of that with which We have provided you before death comes to one of you, and he says: "My Lord! If only You would give me respite for a little while (i.e. return to the worldly life), then I should give Sadaqah (i.e. Zakat ) of my wealth, and be among the righteous [i.e. perform Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) and other good deeds].
