(643) Allah hath not chosen any son, nor is there any god along with Him; else would each god have assuredly championed that which he created, and some of them would assuredly have overcome others. Glorified be Allah above all that they allege.

(644) Say: My Lord! if Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised.

(645) Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! if we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers.

(646) He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew.

(647) The adulterer and the adulteress, scourge ye each one of them (with) a hundred stripes. And let not pity for the twain withhold you from obedience to Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a party of believers witness their punishment.

(648) Save those who afterward repent and make amends. (For such) lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

(649) And yet a fifth, invoking the curse of Allah on him if he is of those who lie.

(650) And it shall avert the punishment from her if she bear witness before Allah four times that the thing he saith is indeed false,
