(81) Every soul must taste of death and We try you by evil and good by way of probation; and to Us you shall be brought back.
(82) They said: Have you brought to us the truth, or are you one of the triflers?
(83) He said: Nay! your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who brought them into existence, and I am of those who bear witness to this:
(84) And (as for) Lut, We gave him wisdom and knowledge, and We delivered him from the town which wrought abominations; surely they were an evil people, transgressors;
(85) And Yunus, when he went away in wrath, so he thought that We would not straiten him, so he called out among afflictions: There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee; surely I am of those who make themselves to suffer loss.
(86) He said: O my Lord! judge Thou with truth; and our Lord is the Beneficent Allah, Whose help is sought against what you ascribe (to Him).
(87) O people! if you are in doubt about the raising, then surely We created you from dust, then from a small seed, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, complete in make and incomplete, that We may make clear to you; and We cause what We please to stay in the wombs till an appointed time, then We bring you forth as babies, then that you may attain your maturity; and of you is he who is caused to die, and of you is he who is brought back to the worst part of life, so that after having knowledge he does not know anything; and you see the earth sterile land, but when We send down on it the water, it stirs and swells and brings forth of every kind a beautiful herbage.
(88) And He it is Who has brought you to life, then He will cause you to die, then bring you to life (again); most surely man is ungrateful.
(89) What! does he threaten you that when you are dead and become dust and bones that you shall then be brought forth?
(90) Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth.
