(14) We (once) sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years less fifty: but the Deluge overwhelmed them while they (persisted in) sin.

(15) He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning.

(16) And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more.

(17) Mention (Hud) one of 'Ad's (own) brethren: Behold, he warned his people about the winding sand-tracts: but there have been warners before him and after him: "Worship ye none other than Allah: Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Mighty Day."

(18) The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years:

(19) One Day the earth and the mountains will be in violent commotion. And the mountains will be as a heap of sand poured out and flowing down.

(20) The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
