(34) When they are told to follow the (Revelation) that Allah has sent down, they say: "Nay, we shall follow the ways that we found our fathers (following). "What! even if it is Satan beckoning them to the Penalty of the (Blazing) Fire?

(35) O ye who believe! Fear Allah, and (always) say a word directed to the Right:

(36) Pharaoh said: "O Haman! Build me a lofty palace, that I may attain the ways and means-

(37) "The ways and means of (reaching) the heavens, and that I may mount up to the god of Moses: But as far as I am concerned, I think (Moses) is a liar!" Thus was made alluring, in Pharaoh's eyes, the evil of his deeds, and he was hindered from the Path; and the plot of Pharaoh led to nothing but perdition (for him).

(38) And He shows you (always) His Signs: then which of the Signs of Allah will ye deny?

(39) And were it not that (all) men might become of one (evil) way of life, We would provide, for everyone that blasphemes against (Allah) Most Gracious, silver roofs for their houses and (silver) stair-ways on which to go up,

(40) We shall indeed remove the Penalty for a while, (but) truly ye will revert (to your ways).
