(72) That Allah may requite each soul according to its deserts; and verily Allah is swift in calling to account.

(73) Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account,

(74) Or that He may not call them to account in the midst of their goings to and fro, without a chance of their frustrating Him?-

(75) Or that He may not call them to account by a process of slow wastage - for thy Lord is indeed full of kindness and mercy.

(76) And they (even) assign, to things they do not know, a portion out of that which We have bestowed for their sustenance! By Allah, ye shall certainly be called to account for your false inventions.

(77) If Allah so willed, He could make you all one people: But He leaves straying whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases: but ye shall certainly be called to account for all your actions.

(78) "It will be on a Day when He will call you, and ye will answer (His call) with (words of) His praise, and ye will think that ye tarried but a little while!"

(79) Say: "call on those - besides Him - whom ye fancy: they have neither the power to remove your troubles from you nor to change them."

(80) Those whom they call upon do desire (for themselves) means of access to their Lord, - even those who are nearest: they hope for His Mercy and fear His Wrath: for the Wrath of thy Lord is something to take heed of.
