(61) And as for women past child-bearing who do not expect wed-lock, it is no sin on them if they discard their (outer) clothing in such a way as not to show their adornment. But to refrain (i.e. not to discard their outer clothing) is better for them. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

(62) And indeed they have passed by the town [of Prophet Lut (lot)] on which was rained the evil rain. Did they (disbelievers) not then see it (with their own eyes)? Nay! But they used not to expect any resurrection.

(63) The people of Lut (lot) (-who dwelt in the town of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers.

(64) When their brother Lut (lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him?

(65) They said: "If you cease not O Lut (lot)! verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!"

(66) It was said to her: "Enter As-Sarh" (a glass surface with water underneath it or a palace): but when she saw it, she thought it was a pool, and she (tucked up her clothes) uncovering her legs. (Sulaiman (Solomon)) said: "Verily, it is a Sarh (a glass surface with water underneath it or a palace)." She said: "My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, and I submit [in Islam, together with Sulaiman (Solomon)] to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists)."

(67) So they plotted a plot, and We plotted a plot, while they perceived not.

(68) Then see how was the end of their plot! Verily! We destroyed them and their nation, all together.

(69) And (remember) Lut (lot)! When he said to his people. Do you commit Al-Fahishah (evil, great sin, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse, sodomy) while you see (one another doing evil without any screen)?"

(70) There was no other answer given by his people except that they said: "Drive out the family of Lut (lot) from your city Verily, these are men who want to be clean and pure!"
