(32) So they did take him away, and they all agreed to throw him down to the bottom of the well: and We put into his heart (this message): 'Of a surety thou shalt (one day) tell them the truth of this their affair while they know (thee) not'

(33) And no reward dost thou ask of them for this: it is no less than a message for all creatures.

(34) Whether We shall show thee (within thy life-time) part of what we promised them or take to ourselves thy soul (before it is all accomplished),- thy duty is to make (the message) reach them: it is our part to call them to account.

(35) And the Unbelievers said to their messengers: "Be sure we shall drive you out of our land, or ye shall return to our religion." But their Lord inspired (this message) to them: "Verily We shall cause the wrong-doers to perish!

(36) Here is a message for mankind: Let them take warning therefrom, and let them know that He is (no other than) One Allah: let men of understanding take heed.

(37) They say: "O thou to whom the message is being revealed! truly thou art mad (or possessed)!

(38) We have, without doubt, sent down the message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).

(39) That they should not believe in the (message); but the ways of the ancients have passed away.

(40) The worshippers of false gods say: "If Allah had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him - neither we nor our fathers,- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of messengers but to preach the Clear message?
