(193) Alif. Lam. Ra. (This is) a Scripture which We have revealed unto thee (Muhammad) that thereby thou mayst bring forth mankind from darkness unto light, by the permission of their Lord, unto the path of the Mighty, the Owner of Praise,

(194) We verily sent (messengers) before thee among the factions of the men of old.

(195) He said: O Iblis! What aileth thee that thou art not among the prostrate?

(196) And lo! the curse shall be upon thee till the Day of Judgment.

(197) Lo! as for My slaves, thou hast no power over any of them save such of the froward as follow thee,

(198) They said: Be not afraid! Lo! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom.

(199) They said: We bring thee good tidings in truth. So be not thou of the despairing.

(200) They said: Nay, but we bring thee that concerning which they keep disputing,
