(291) One Day He will gather them all together, and say to the angels, "Was it you that these men used to worship?"

(292) Say: "If I am astray, I only stray to the loss of my own soul: but if I receive guidance, it is because of the inspiration of my Lord to me: it is He Who hears all things, and is (ever) near."

(293) Therein will they cry aloud (for assistance): "Our Lord! Bring us out: we shall work righteousness, not the (deeds) we used to do!" - "Did We not give you long enough life so that he that would should receive admonition? and (moreover) the warner came to you. So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds): for the wrong-doers there is no helper."

(294) "Shall I take (other) gods besides Him? If (Allah) Most Gracious should intend some adversity for me, of no use whatever will be their intercession for me, nor can they deliver me.

(295) And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein:

(296) If We grant long life to any, We cause him to be reversed in nature: Will they not then understand?

(297) And that We have subjected them to their (use)? of them some do carry them and some they eat:

(298) They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!"

(299) "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)?

(300) And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind.
