Is it not His to create and to govern? blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!

(2) The day it arrives, no soul shall speak except by His leave: of those (gathered) some will be wretched and some will be blessed.

(3) And those who are blessed shall be in the Garden: They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: a gift without break.

(4) "For those who believe and work righteousness, is (every) blessedness, and a beautiful place of (final) return."

(5) "And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;

(6) And this is a blessed Message which We have sent down: will ye then reject it?

(7) But We delivered him and (his nephew) Lut (and directed them) to the land which We have blessed for the nations.

(8) (It was Our power that made) the violent (unruly) wind flow (tamely) for Solomon, to his order, to the land which We had blessed: for We do know all things.

(9) Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create!

(10) Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things.
