(43) To every nation We appointed acts of devotion which they observe, therefore they should not dispute with you about the matter and call to your Lord; most surely you are on a right way.

(44) And certainly We created man of an extract of clay,

(45) Except those who repent after this and act aright, for surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

(46) Is there in their hearts a disease, or are they in doubt, or do they fear that Allah and His Apostle will act wrongfully towards them? Nay! they themselves are the unjust.

(47) Who make mischief in the land and do not act aright.

(48) And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief.

(49) Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back.

(50) And there were in the city nine persons who made mischief in the land and did not act aright.
